Application Process Overview
Our aim throughout this process is to be guided by God’s wisdom while ensuring that every step is transparent, organized, and attentive to the needs of both our congregation and potential candidates. Below is a snapshot of the pivotal milestones in our search timeline:

  • September 25-October 30: Application Window
  • October 31-November 10: Initial interviews conducted by the search committee. This period also sees the completion of background and reference checks.
  • November 13-22: In-person interviews with the Elder team
  • December: Job offer extended to the chosen candidate
  • Early Spring 2024: Installation of the new pastor

While the dates above serve as our intended timeline, we remain flexible and will adjust as necessary, seeking God’s direction throughout the journey.

  • Cover Letter: Please draft a letter detailing your interest in the position, your familiarity with Kishwaukee Bible Church, and why you believe you would be a good fit for our congregation. Your letter should include your personal details such as your full name, current residential address, and contact information.
  • Ministry Experience: List your previous positions, the duration you served in each role, and your primary responsibilities during those tenures.
  • Educational Background: Detail the degrees you’ve earned, the institutions where you studied, and the years you attended.
  • Testimony: Share a concise narrative of your personal faith journey, detailing significant milestones and experiences that have shaped your walk with God.
  • Doctrinal Statement: Describe your personal beliefs on key theological issues, ensuring that they align with the core values and beliefs of Kishwaukee Bible Church.

  • Sermon Links: Provide links to some of your recent sermons. If possible, we’d appreciate video formats to understand both content and delivery style. 
  • Resume/CV Upload: We also request you to attach a current resume or CV for a comprehensive overview of your professional journey.
  • References: Provide the names of individuals who can vouch for your character and ministry. Also, specify your relationship to each reference and their contact details. Please note if we should contact any of these individuals only after giving you prior notice.
