A unique and flexible approach for our women’s fall study of 1 & 2 Thessalonians.
What: We will study Paul’s letters to the church in Thessalonica using the same approach we did for Esther and Habakkuk. With this method, you have the option of spending just a few minutes preparing for the study or using the tools provided to dive much more deeply into the text through the week. You can even show up and participate if you didn’t have any time to prepare! Each week, we will also take time to share both our blessings and burdens with each other and to pray for one another. We hope to connect with one another in a real and meaningful way.
When: We will meet in two five-week sessions (one for each book). While we hope everyone will be able to participate in both sessions, this does provide the flexibility for you to commit to just the first or just the second five weeks. (First session begins the week of September 13, second session begins the week of October 18). This fall, we will offer a variety of options for meeting days and times. When you register, you will indicate your availability for Tuesdays or Wednesdays, and for daytime or evening.
How & Where: Locations and format will vary for each group. When you register, you will be asked to indicate your desire and/or willingness to either meet online, in-person outdoors, in-person indoors with masks remaining on, or in-person indoors with masks removed after being seated apart. You’ll be assigned to a group consistent with your requests. Backyards, basements, garages, living rooms, and the church office are all potential in-person meeting place options.
Who: We hope to gather groups of five women from different ages and stations: Single, married, widowed, or divorced. Just starting college or the mother (or grandmother) of a college student. Having followed Jesus for a long time or not sure you even know what it means to follow Jesus. Wherever you’re coming from, there is a place for you! We look forward to learning with and from each other as we explore God’s word together.
Five women coming together for five weeks to grow as followers of Jesus.
